Project Managers

Project Managers are responsible for all aspects of managing construction projects, from initial consultation in the conceptual phase, through completion and delivery of the project to the client.

  1. Prepare and maintain project schedule making sure that schedule is effectively communicated to Superintendent, vendors, and Owner.
  2. Review and approve all subcontractor invoices including invoice format. Work with Superintendent to establish accurate percent complete figures. Communicate information to Bookkeeping.
  3. Participate in all vendor selections with the estimator. Advise others of vendor performance. Develop evaluation criteria.
  4. Work with estimating in keeping production rates and unit costs current.
  5. Review drawings prepared in-house for constructability and completeness. This takes place after we have signed the contract and before construction.
  6. Maintain a complete set of current drawings in the home office and at the job site. Design is responsible to maintain the list of all drawings issued.
  7. Obtain and expedite all submittals from vendors.
  8. Expedite all submittals to the owner.
  9. Review shop drawings and approve when acceptable. Make sure that field has approved shop drawings.
  10. Remain current with the latest innovations of Products, Equipment, and Installation Techniques.
  11. Maintain and strive to improve the High Standards Gorski Engineering has achieved in the following areas: Jobsite Safety, Quality, Aggressive Scheduling and Delivery, Customer Satisfaction, Teamwork
This position requires a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a construction company project support or related role. Possession of a Bachelor's Degree degree in a field related to the construction industry. The successful individual will also possess a working knowledge of project management and related applications (ProCore, MS Project, Sage, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
